Piloting of MRV system of GHG emission in Java-Madura-Bali power grid system and selected industrial sub-sector.
The Java-Madura-Bali (JAMALI) power grid System appointed as pilot project for piloting a monitoring, reporting and verification systems to support Indonesia’s readiness towards a partnership for low-carbon development.
The JAMALI power grid system is the largest interconnection power system in Indonesia. These power grid system accommodate over 60 power plants including 38 coal-fired power plants. Estimated emissions released by this grid are about 83.3 MtCO2 (2009) to 86.9 MtCO2 (2010). The expected outcomes of this program are the same understanding of MRV concepts within sectoral scope as well as provide support to develop guidelines for their operations.
PMR will continue to prepare further piloting project on other selected sub-sector.
